Trio of rare trilobites cf. Richterops sp.

Species: cf. Richterops sp.
Age: Cambrian
Locality: Tazemmourt, Morocco

Measurements: c. 3.8, 2.7 and 2.4 cm long trilobites – c. 13.5 × 11 cm matrix
Weight: 755 g

This is a rare species that was found occurring with Richterops falloti at the Tazemmourt locality. It differs from the latter in that 1. the pygidial spines are shorter and 2. the pygidium is bilobed. An excellent piece that consists of three specimens, the second that we have seen. The trilobites have been prepared so that they appear raised against the matrix.
