A beautiful coelacanth fish in unusual natural white preservation. As usual with fossils from the lower Triassic of northern Madagascar, the specimen consists of the external moulds of the left and right flanks of the fish, preserved in a calcareous concretion. Some of the cracks were filled. The red colour of the concretion was slightly enhanced.
