A superb ray-finned fish of the Saurichthyidae family. This exceptional specimen is complete and consists of two parts preserved in a calcareous concretion as internal and external moulds. It shows remarkable detail in the skull, fins and scales, making it a striking and scientifically valuable piece. The concretion was stabilized and reinforced with flat metal supports. Natural cracks have been filled with resin to ensure long-term integrity. There is otherwise no reconstruction of the specimen. It remains completely natural.
